Call For 2027 Presenters - Coming Soon

The Call for Presenters - Coming Soon!

RESIDE 2027 is looking for business leaders, industry experts, innovators, and experienced professionals who can help the custom integration community build stronger businesses, develop stronger teams, deliver exceptional client experiences, and prepare for the future of the smart home.

Created specifically for the custom integration community, RESIDE brings together technology professionals and trade partners to explore the future of the smart home. We're seeking practical, forward-looking sessions that provide actionable strategies, proven practices, and valuable insights that help attendees operate more profitable businesses, build stronger teams, improve project execution, and create exceptional client experiences.

We encourage participants from all backgrounds to apply.

At RESIDE and across all AVIXA platforms, we seek to create and champion an environment of giving, sharing, and mutual respect; not only for our members, but in the pronounced way our mission touches the world.

But we cannot do it alone. We need your participation and referrals because it is not a choice of expertise OR diversity: the diverse thoughts and experiences of women, non-binary genders, Black, Indigenous, and all people of color expand our industry knowledge and represent a better future for our custom integration community.

Why RESIDE

RESIDE brings together the people shaping the future of custom integration.

RESIDE was created specifically for the residential integration community—a place where custom integrators and the trade partners they work alongside can learn from one another, exchange ideas, and address the opportunities and challenges shaping the modern home.

Launching alongside InfoComm in Orlando in June 2027, RESIDE brings together professionals across technology, design, and construction to share real-world experience, strengthen industry collaboration, and help move residential integration forward.

At the heart of RESIDE is an education program built around three pillars designed to move the industry forward:

Grow the Business
Strategies to strengthen the business, improve performance, and create new opportunities.

Develop the Team
Practical ways to build stronger teams, develop talent, and improve how people work together.

Design the Future
Technologies, ideas, and business models shaping what’s next in residential integration.

RESIDE serves professionals who design, integrate, manage, and support technology solutions for the modern home.

Vendor-Neutral Content Policy

RESIDE sessions are designed to educate, not sell. Content must remain vendor-neutral and focus on practical, transferable insights rather than promoting a company, product, or service. Presenters may reference specific solutions when relevant, but comparisons should be balanced and support the learning objectives. Overtly promotional content or selling from the stage may result in removal from the program, even after a session has been selected.

Presenter and Submission Requirements

  • Speakers should ensure that the submission content is relevant to the Custom Integration industry and its communities.

  • When submitting topic(s), keep in mind that RESIDE attendees should walk away with action items, best practices, and creative ideas they can implement right away.

  • Speakers should commit to presenting in person at RESIDE in Orlando next June.

  • Any materials needed for your session must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the speaker portal.

  • Before presenting, speakers must verify the content, confirm that it is their own or properly authorized, and address any required permissions. To support a clear, balanced program, AVIXA reserves the right to revise session titles and descriptions.

  • Note for Suppliers: If you are an industry supplier submitting a proposal, you will not be considered unless you are a contracted RESIDE 2027 exhibitor. Preference is given to suppliers who include an integrator or end user as a co-presenter. See the FAQs for more info on the supplier speaker policy

How Sessions Are Selected

AVIXA staff and volunteer subject matter experts review each proposal. Because we receive more strong proposals than the program can accommodate, not every qualified submission can be selected. If your session is selected, the Live Content team will notify you and support you throughout the preparation process.

RESIDE submissions are reviewed to identify complete proposals that demonstrate a meaningful contribution to attendees’ professional capabilities and knowledge of the field. Reviewers evaluate presenter or panelist expertise; whether the content is focused, current, practical, or innovative; whether the learning level is appropriate for the audience and topic; whether the proposal includes three actionable learner outcomes; and whether the session design encourages audience questions, interaction, and participation.

RESIDE sessions must remain educational and cannot promote or criticize a specific company, product, or service. Professional Training sessions follow separate requirements.
