Vendor-Neutral Content Policy

RESIDE sessions are designed to educate, not sell. Content must remain vendor-neutral and focus on practical, transferable insights rather than promoting a company, product, or service. Presenters may reference specific solutions when relevant, but comparisons should be balanced and support the learning objectives. Overtly promotional content or selling from the stage may result in removal from the program, even after a session has been selected.

Presenter and Submission Requirements

Before submitting your proposal, review the presenter requirements, session expectations and submission guidelines.

  • Speakers should ensure that the submission content is relevant to the Custom Integration industry and its communities.

  • When submitting topic(s), speakers should keep in mind that RESIDE attendees should walk away with action items, best practices, and creative ideas they can implement right away.

  • Speakers should commit to presenting in person at RESIDE in Orlando next June.

  • Any materials needed for your session must be submitted by the deadlines indicated in the speaker portal.

  • Before presenting, speakers must verify the content, confirm that it is their own or properly authorized, and address any required permissions. To support a clear, balanced program, AVIXA reserves the right to revise session titles and descriptions.

  • Note for Suppliers: If you are an industry supplier submitting a proposal, you will not be considered unless you are a contracted RESIDE 2027 exhibitor. Preference is given to suppliers who include an integrator or end user as a co-presenter. See the FAQs for more info on the supplier speaker policy.

How Sessions Are Selected

AVIXA staff and volunteer subject matter experts review each proposal. Because we receive more strong proposals than the program can accommodate, not every qualified submission can be selected. If your session is selected, the Live Content team will notify you by December 17, 2026, and support you throughout the preparation process.

RESIDE submissions are reviewed to identify complete proposals that demonstrate a meaningful contribution to attendees’ professional capabilities and knowledge of the field. Reviewers evaluate presenter or panelist expertise; whether the content is focused, current, practical, or innovative; whether the learning level is appropriate for the audience and topic; whether the proposal includes three actionable learner outcomes; and whether the session design encourages audience questions, interaction, and participation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most accepted CFP submissions will be presented in the RESIDE Education Program.

A small number of CFP submissions are invited to present on a show floor stage. If your submission is invited to present a show floor presentation, there is no fee for attendees.

There’s no charge to submit, and as long as your presentation is vendor-neutral there’s no charge to present. If you would like to talk specifically about the amazing things your company is doing, contact your  RESIDE Account Manager to learn about Pro Training and Content Sponsorships.

RESIDE sessions must remain educational and cannot promote or criticize a specific company, product, or service. Presenters may reference specific solutions when relevant, but comparisons should be balanced, include multiple options when appropriate, and support the session’s learning objectives. Professional Training sessions follow separate requirements.

A Supplier Speaker refers to a speaker who has a commercial interest in the audience attending RESIDE and who is considered as a potential RESIDE exhibitor. Supplier Speakers will not be considered eligible to present to a formal RESIDE audience except in the following situations:

  • Supplier Speaker is an exhibitor/supplier who has paid to exhibit in the RESIDE exhibition.

  • Supplier Speaker is a non-exhibitor who has paid for a non-exhibitor sponsorship in the RESIDE exhibition.
